Pastor Timothy J. Alden is the founder and Senior Pastor of City of Praise Christian Church located in Los Angeles, CA. Having served in ministry for 25 years, he is a spiritual father and mentor to many. His zeal for praise and worship and his accuracy as a prophet to this generation have made him a sought after conference speaker.

Pastor Timothy was born again and spirit-filled early in his youth. As God continued to mature and develop his ministry, He connected him with spiritual parents who would cover and nurture his giftings. He received training under the leadership of the late Apostle William T. and Apostle Veter Nichols of New Covenant Life Ministries in Port Huron, MI, and Apostle Ellis Smith of Jubilee City Church in Detroit, MI.

Upon receiving his ordination in 2002, he received the call to relocate from Detroit, MI where he had lived all of his life to Los Angeles, CA. Soon after relocating he began to lead Bible Studies and Prayer Meetings both on his job and in his home. Being first and foremost a worshiper, he desired to raise up a company of Davidic worshipers who understood the importance of true intimacy with God. As a result, he began holding services entitled “A Call to Worship”. This eventually led to the formation of City of Praise Christian Church, where he has served as Senior Pastor for 9 years.
